For more than 30 years, Rebel Salute has been a cornerstone of Jamaican music culture, bringing together fans of conscious reggae, live performances, and Caribbean traditions. Created by reggae icon Tony Rebel in 1994, the festival is renowned for its positive messages, health-conscious vibe, and family-friendly atmosphere. This month, South Florida will host its first-ever Rebel Salute, marking a historic milestone for the festival and reggae lovers in the United States.

Set for Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Miramar Regional Park, the festival runs from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Local organizers Organic HEART Group of Companies LLC and BRT Weekend Touring Agency are bringing the authentic festival experience to Florida, giving fans a chance to enjoy the music and culture without traveling to Jamaica.

Unlike many music festivals, Rebel Salute is known for its unique approach: it encourages healthy living with a vegan-friendly Food Village, promotes cultural expression through its Art Village, and even hosts the “Herb Curb”, a space dedicated to conversations on the benefits of cannabis. Alcohol is not served, and attendees are encouraged to embrace a positive, family-oriented environment.

The lineup is a dream for reggae fans, featuring Tony Rebel, Mykal Rose, Queen Ifrica, Maxi Priest, Chalice, LUST, Mikey Spice, Louie Culture, and Rebel Clan. The festival will also showcase a dubplate competition, where DJs battle it out and the crowd helps pick the winner—a true interactive celebration of reggae culture.

For South Florida’s Caribbean community, Rebel Salute is more than music, t’s a connection to home. “Having this festival here is amazing. We’ve always traveled to Jamaica to experience it, and now it’s coming to our backyard,” shared a local fan. Beyond entertainment, the festival supports local vendors and artists, highlighting the talent and culture of the Caribbean diaspora in the region.
